I’ve had a lot of things going on in my life since 2018 started, and it feels good to stay so busy!

I went to the Rose Bowl!

And then I went to Disneyland…

Google Art has a super cool app out that lets you see which paintings you look most like. I’m not sure if I agree with this one

Valentine’s Day was spent with close friends and Will, and it was so good. Will got me a Valentine’s azalea! How pretty is it?!

I’ve had a blast meeting all the graduate students touring UGA looking to work in Student Affairs – we’re looking for a new Homecoming GA!

We’ve also been doing “socials” to get to know one another better. Here’s a pic from a recent trip to the Museum of High Art in Athens.

I got accepted into Psi Chi, the International Psychology Honors Society. I love getting to do community service projects with my new friends!

I’ve started re-watching Pretty Little Liars. It’s been a good mental break for the middle of the day.

My Life: October

October was crazy. I had three weeks of midterms, Delta Gamma Initiation, Homecoming, Delta Gamma Low Country Boil, Will’s 21st birthday, my mom’s birthday, and my roommate’s 21st birthday. It has been a month. But there’s only one thing left: Halloween! Whether or not I’ll actually celebrate is still undecided, but we’ll get there when we get there.

I went to the State Botanical Gardens of Georgia at the beginning of the month to complete a biology scavenger hunt. This was one of the required pictures I had to take.

Favorite Fall Things Right Now

I’m so excited that fall is finally here! And with fall comes UGA Homecoming! I don’t think I could ever express how thankful I am for all the opportunities the University of Georgia has given me. I’ve participated in Homecoming every single year of college. Last year I was the Community Outreach Chair, and this year I get to oversee all of Homecoming Court.

The University of Georgia has also given me the Arch Society. Not only have I found many of my close friends through Arch, I’ve gotten to meet some of the smartest, most driven individuals of my age. I am constantly amazed by their curiosity, selflessness, and intellect. Below are a few photos from our dinner at the President’s house. Arch President's House

While I don’t really enjoy football, getting to work the games with the Arch Society is a thrill. I may not know who all the players are but I certainly love the Dawg Nation spirit!

Fall also means getting my grand little!

And who would I be if I didn’t mention something from Target’s current dollar spot section? Of course it was love at first sight with this Hocus Pocus inspired candle!

Now that the weather is finally cooling down (okay, so, it’s still mid to upper 70’s in Athens…we’ll just go ahead and count it as “cooling down”) I can drink tea throughout the day without being hot and sweaty on both the outside and the inside. I really like drinking Throat Coat tea when the Freshman Plague rolls around. I get sick easily, and it always ends up involving my throat, so this tea really helps decrease the inflammation and irritation caused by both allergies and sickness. Plus each tea bag comes with a little inspirational quote! How cute.

Last but certainly not least, I’m excited to finally be able to wear boots again. These are my current favorites: Lucky Brand black booties.

Links I’m Loving

It’s been such a long week, filled with some crazy good surprises!

First off, I made it onto the 2017 Homecoming Committee! For those of you that are new to Bailey Studies Psych and don’t know, I was on the Homecoming Committee for 2016 as the Community Outreach Chair. This year I’ve been selected to be the Court Chair, which plans and executes Homecoming Court interviews, selection, voting, banquet, and crowning.

I also made it into The Arch Society for the University of Georgia (which was perhaps the greatest surprise of the week).

I’ve also been doing yoga more, following an amazing Youtube yogi named Adriene.

Speaking of yoga, check out this sweet set of yogi master army figurines!

And just in time for Valentine’s Day – comedic candles that smell like certain world leaders (lookin’ at you, Justin Trudeau)

Happy Day! Have a great rest of your week!

Happy Homecoming!

Homecoming week is this week at the University of Georgia. I’ve been on the Homecoming Committee for 10 months now, so I helped plan and set up most of the events going on around campus. I’m so excited to see the looks on students’ and alumni’s faces when they walk into the stadium on Saturday afternoon for the football game. It’s going to be such a surprise!
